Partnership with Tadamon – The Multicultural Council, EgyptSince 2005, a group of concerned organizations have worked to build an Egyptian/Refugee Multicultural Council known as Tadamon. Today, Tadamon is an independent, non-political civil society network of 25 NGOs and CBOs working to realize the welfare of marginalized refugees, asylum seekers and Egyptians, and improved mutual understanding through networking, lobbying and coordinating efforts.

Party for Diversity
On Friday September 14, 2007, Inklusion hosted the Networking Event – Party for Diversity, in the ‘Church turned culture house’ in Copenhagen. The goal was to create a space, where NGOs, networks, and individuals working with diversity, could meet on an informal basis and exchange ideas, business cards and knowledge. More than 100 people and around 40 organizations participated in a constructive and festive manner. Inklusion thanks the participants for a great night!
Special thanks to Martin Lemos (DJ), Primo Prodducts, Musti & Amin, and Wahid for rap, music and good vibes. Also thanks to ‘the church’ for a welcoming and good cooperation regarding the event. Not least thanks to Lige ’07 for supporting the event economically.

One click to Arab newsCentre for Arab West Understanding (CAWU) has for more than 10 year been working to communicate Arab news to Western media. CAWU translate articles from Arab media to English in weekly digests. Inklusion supports the work of nuanced transmission of Arab news and encourage interested persons to read more at: www.cawu.org |

NGO co-operation in the Middle EastInklusion is currently planning a concrete co-operation with NGOs and CBOs in the Middle East. Inklusion has initiated a joint project with Maadi Philantropy, a local NGO in Cairo. Maadi Philantropy is working with providing cultural opportunities for needy people in Cairo, and for dialogue in Egypt and abroad.
A series of debate- and exchange events are planned during 2008.

Conference on ethnic minorities in the Danish media
On Wednesday October 2, 2006, Mangfoldigt.dk, AKELIN, MixEurope, and Inklusion invited for a conference on the representation of ethnic minorities in the Danish media. The output of the conference was a letter to journalists, editors and press responsible actors with concrete proposals to better inclusion of ethnic minorities in the media.

Job network for Danes with minority background
Inklusion has engaged in a partnership with Foreningen Nydansker (The Associasion for New-Danes) on communicating job opportunities, primarily to ethnic minorities. We have helped the association to target the effort and continue to forward job openings in our network

Networking as a resource
Together with the NGOs Mangfoldigt.dk and AKELIN. Inklusion established a wide network of NGOs working with diversity in 2004. The network held initiating meetings with the participation of around 40 NGOs. The Network now functions virtually and is an active forum spreading information on campaigns, events etc. Read the invitation here.

Love without bordersAn awareness raising project on HIV/AIDS targeted youth, primarily homosexuals with ethnic backgrounds. The project told stories about love without borders. Stories intended to spike people’s curiosity and check the site www.graenseloeskaerlighed.dk. The site provided sound information on safe sex, hiv and aids, other STDs etc. The project was initiated in co-operation with Cross Over and MP Kamal Qureshi.

Another way to peace
In co-opration with Crossing Borders Inklusion invited for a new and different event in Pakhus 11, Copenhagen. The purpose was to discuss how Palestinian, Israeli, and Jordanian youth can reach each other with words instead of weapons.

The University for the Common Good
On Thursday October 26, THE UNIVERSITY FOR THE COMMON GOOD (UCG) held its opening conference. An initiative that places common goods – and the management hereof – on the agenda. Inklusion supports this initiative and the debate on how water, knowledge, education, health etc. in the future can be provided for all.

Diversity event – A warm party in a cold periodOn a cold Saturday in January 2004 Inklusion, in co-operation with MS and Politiken, held a grand opening event in Copenhagen. The participation to the event was massive and around 600 people attended, across age, gender and ethnicity. Creating a diverse and constructive atmosphere.
